Tax credits for window replacement
On February 17, 2009, the The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed into law. It provides a one-time tax credit for qualifying energy efficient home improvement products. Taxpayers purchasing replacement windows in 2009 and 2010 that meet specific energy efficiency requirements are eligible for 30% of the amount as a tax credit up to $1,500 for the years of 2009 and 2010.
